The LIS Sprint

Join the LIS team on our 11 week interdisciplinary thinking and problem-based learning sprint.

Important update

The Sprint has been designed as a face-to-face experience (rather than a virtual one). So, given the continuing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we have decided to postpone running the Sprint this year. Register your interest below and we'll be in touch when new dates are confirmed.

What is the LIS Sprint?

Overview

This is a unique opportunity to gain an insight into how an interdisciplinary approach can be used to tackle complex problems, be exposed to a range of qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g. coding, videography, interviewing techniques), and learn with our team of leading academics.

Is this for you?

This is your chance to join a diverse network who, like you, enjoy grappling with big questions, are comfortable in exploring uncertainty, and want to join the LIS team for 11 weeks.

There are no prizes or qualifications up for grabs. If you’re looking for an easy ride then this isn’t for you. It's going to be challenging. You're going to feel stretched. But it will be rewarding, fast-paced, and fun. And you'll get paid while doing it.

You'll complete the sprint with an insight into interdisciplinary learning and connections with peers that extend beyond the sprint.

Do you want to join the LIS team for 11 weeks?

Do you want to access our network, including graduate employers, start-ups, and charities?

Do you want to learn with our team of leading academics joining us from Oxbridge, Harvard, and LSE?

Wondering why you'll be paid to sprint?

We have an ambitious vision which will only be reached if we ensure LIS is battle-tested and future-proofed. Your input and feedback will be crucial in refining not only the delivery of our undergraduate programme in 2021 but also our longterm outlook.

    Selection Day

Selection Days will take place in London and will include an interview so we can understand what motivates and inspires you. You don't have to prepare; just be yourself. It's a chance for us to get to know you, for you to get to know us, and hopefully to learn more about yourself along the way.

    Offer

If successful, you will be part of the LIS Sprint starting in 2021.

We're looking for individuals who are comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. The Sprint will be challenging. But it will also be rewarding and you'll forever be an important part of the LIS journey.
