We’ve made the difficult decision to delay the launch of our three-year undergraduate programme until 2021. This means that we will not launch in 2020 as originally planned.
Through our discussions with the regulator, it’s become clear that it’s going to take longer than expected to progress through the regulatory process. One of the implications of this is that prospective LIS students would be unable to apply for Student Finance when making their final university choices this year.
We remain committed to offering a new and innovative approach to learning – teaching students the knowledge and skills they need to tackle complex real-world problems – and would love you to continue on this journey with us.
We want to say thank you for all the amazing support we’ve received from students, parents, teachers, and employer partners so far. This has been a hard decision; however, we want to ensure we have everything in place before students join LIS in 2021.
Applicants
You can choose to either defer or withdraw your application to LIS below. If you defer your application then we will consider you for 2021 entry.
Please note that this announcement will not impact your application to any other institutions (e.g. via UCAS).
Next steps
We’re certainly not putting the brakes on. We will continue to prioritise the regulatory process ahead of launching our undergraduate programme in 2021. We are also finalising our plans for 2020/21 which we will share with you over the coming weeks.
